Blog World Mental Health Day

East End Hospice commemorates World Mental Health Day and our commitment to supporting the mental well-being of our patients, bereavement clients, and community members.

A serious illness impacts every aspect of life for patients and their caregivers. East End Hospice employs a comprehensive team approach to ensure that patients and their families receive not only physical care but also psychological and spiritual support. By addressing all facets of a life-limiting illness, our dedicated team of doctors, nurses, social workers, and volunteers strive to enhance overall quality of life.

Since each patient’s diagnosis is unique, their plan of care is equally individualized. Our nurses and social workers customize their care according to patients and their families’ emotional needs.

A single death is estimated to significantly impact nine people. East End Hospice’s specialized bereavement team provides essential support to help community members manage grief. We offer bereavement support groups for adults, teens, and children, one-on-one counseling, and bereavement workshops throughout the year.
