Event Calendar Box Art Auction

The Box Art Auction benefiting East End Hospice returns to Hoie Hall at St. Luke’s Church in East Hampton on Saturday, August 23.

East End artists create and donate one-of-a-kind artworks, including ceramics, sculpture, painting, collage, assemblage, metal, photography, and needlework to be auctioned in support of East End Hospice

Boxes can be previewed at Hoie Hall on Wednesday, August 20 and Thursday, August 21 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. On Wednesday, August 20, 5-7 p.m., the public is invited to a “Meet the Artists” preview reception.

At the benefit on August 23, a Silent Auction will begin at 4:30 p.m. and the live auction will begin at 5:45, with Lucas Hunt as Auctioneer.  Wine and hors d’oeuvres are included in the $100 benefit ticket price.

“I’m always amazed by the incredible talent and generosity of our artists,” says Mary C. Crosby, President and CEO of East End Hospice. “Many of them choose to donate their work to the Box Art Auction because they or someone they know has used our services. The auction is always a highlight of the last summer season and supports our high-quality care in the community.”
