Community leaders, supporters, and EEFC nonprofit organizations celebrated the grand opening of Citarella Westhampton Beach and the launch of the 2026 Summer Round-Up. Shoppers at all East End markets will be encouraged to “round up” their donation to the nearest dollar in support of the EEFC. Proceeds of the campaign are shared equally among participating charities, with more than $500,000 raised since the Fund began in 2021.
A highlight of the celebration was hearing from Meg Kretz, who shared her family’s personal experience with Camp Good Grief. Her story served as a powerful reminder of the importance of providing compassionate support to children and teens navigating grief and loss.
As Camp Good Grief marks 30 years of offering free bereavement services to young people and their families, partnerships like this help ensure that no child has to face grief alone. Through the generosity of Citarella shoppers and the support of the East End Fund for Children, we will continue providing opportunities for healing, connection, and hope.
We extend our sincere gratitude to Citarella, the Gurrera family, the East End Fund for Children, our fellow nonprofit partners, and everyone who attended this special event. Together, we are strengthening our community and making a lasting difference in the lives of local children.
